ASPPA Benefits Council of Greater Philadelphia is a local chapter of ASPPA, the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries.

The mission of the ASPPA Benefits Council of Greater Philadelphia is to provide affordable, local educational and networking events for our members. With the help of our corporate sponsors and direct affiliation with ASPPA National, we attract speakers who are industry specialists to help keep our members informed about current developments impacting employer-sponsored retirement plans. Our networking events enable members to interact with one another and our corporate sponsors in a professional but relaxed environment. We have a diverse membership base consisting of retirement plan professionals in all plan administration roles including: Third Party Administrators, ERISA attorneys, CPAs, actuaries, investment advisors, wholesalers, and others.

Being able to respectfully communicate and connect with people whose life experiences differ from ours is essential. Learn how to use inclusive language to deepen relationships with current and prospective clients, as well as your teammates, family, and friends.

About our Speaker:

Brian M. Briggs Sr. Content Creation Consultant Brian Briggs is a Senior Content Creation Consultant for Hartford Funds. He provides insightful product marketing content for the financial professional audience. Brian is also an active and vocal member of Hartford Funds Diversity, Equity and Inclusion council. Brian joined the organization in 2019. Prior to joining Hartford Funds, he worked for SEI as a Senior Investment Analyst, and was responsible for assisting independent financial professionals to grow their practice through investment insight. Originally from Asheville, North Carolina, Brian attended Catawba College where he received a bachelor’s degree in marketing, and is currently enrolled at UNC Kenan-Flagler's Graduate Program. In his spare time, he can be seen doing anything lawn related. He currently lives in West Chester, Pennsylvania, with his wife, Kiristin, and their daughter, Skylar.
